FERNWEH Painting & Refinishing is a family owned business located in Kitsap County. We do what we love, and love what we do. If you know Roman you probably already know his reputation for fine finishes, and his love for painting.

Roman Borkholder grew up around woodworking. At a very early age he began working for the family construction & cabinet making company. Surrounded by highly skilled craftsmen he was able to gain knowledge and skills passed on from many generations of masters. That would eventually lead to a passion for fine woodworking with his focus on fine finishes & professional painting. There is a saying that a good finisher has good woodworking skills as well.

Roman has developed a vast repertoire of fine finishing techniques, refining old world methods and inventing many new ones. Using a chemist mindset he maintains secret recipes of numerous chemical washes applied to achieve wildly unusual and rare results. His fine finishes have reached customers across the United States from coast to coast.
